Multiplicity of Grace Pt. 2: Humility, Honor, and Contracting the Grace You Were Not Born With

Multiplicity Of Grace · Part 2 of 3

← Part 1Part 3
Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · 5 August 2021

Grace is not earned by effort — it is imparted by God and transmitted through genuine honor.

Grace is a spiritual capacity given by God that determines how far you can function in your calling. You can be delivered from every demonic limitation and still only reach the ceiling of what you were born with. To move beyond that ceiling, you must position yourself under someone God has invested with greater grace in that dimension — and the key that unlocks that positioning is not words, but honor.

Teaching Overview

  1. Grace is a God-given spiritual capacity encoded in a person's DNA — not a skill, not earned, and not equally distributed to all.
  2. Humbling yourself under the mighty hand of God means humbling yourself under the person God has appointed as His extension in your life.
  3. Jesus Himself could not be released into ministry until He was unlocked by someone with the appointed grace for that purpose — John the Baptist.
  4. Unbelief and dishonor actively limit the operation of grace, even in the presence of the one who carries it.
  5. The evidence of true humility is honor, and honor — unlike humility — cannot be faked.

Rooted inRevelation — honor is only by revelationSelf-interest — need compels the behavior

Grace Is a Spiritual Capacity, Not a Skill

  • Grace is embedded in a person's spiritual and physical DNA — it is imparted by God, not developed through learning.
  • When a demon is removed from someone, they are only released back to the ceiling of the grace they were already given — deliverance restores, it does not expand.
  • To function in a dimension of grace beyond what you were born with, you must connect with someone God has invested with greater grace in that dimension.

"That demon comes to limit what God has put in you, but if that demon is removed, you will only maximize what you have already been given."

The Hand of God Is a Person

  • The command to "humble yourself under the mighty hand of God" is not an abstract spiritual posture — the hand of God refers to the person God has appointed as His extension.
  • In Exodus, God declared, "By a mighty hand I delivered you from Egypt" — yet what the people saw in Egypt was Moses. Moses was the hand.
  • God invests His grace, ability, and capacity to fulfill a divine assignment into a person — and then acts through that person as His hand.

"The hand of God is a person. The hand simply means extension."

Jesus Was Unlocked Through John the Baptist

  • Jesus, the Son of God in the flesh, could not enter His public ministry until He was baptized by John the Baptist — a human being appointed to prepare the way.
  • John carried the grace of the forerunner; for Jesus to walk the road John was preparing, He had to submit to the one who was that road.
  • Jesus' ministry did not begin before the Jordan — it began at the Jordan, the moment John baptized Him and the heavens opened.

"Jesus could not be released into what God wanted him to do unless somebody with high grace unlocked him to do it."

Unbelief and Dishonor Restrict the Operation of Grace

  • There is a city Jesus visited where unbelief was so pervasive that the Bible records He could do no miracles — not because He lacked power, but because their condition blocked the release of it.
  • Grace given to a person by God belongs to that person — if someone dishonors the one who carries grace, that carrier is not obligated to release it.
  • God Himself affirms this principle: "Whoever will not receive you, wipe the dust off your feet — it will be worse for them than Sodom and Gomorrah."

"God can choose. He can give you something and say, hey, listen, if they disrespect you, you don't have to do it because it's your grace given to you by God."

The Evidence of Humility Is Honor

  • Humility before God is not demonstrated by words alone — it is demonstrated through honor toward the person God has appointed as His hand.
  • Samuel served God in the presence of Eli — Eli was the way through which Samuel could access God. His faithfulness and honor caused Eli to unlock Samuel's ears to hear God's voice.
  • True humility cannot be separated from honor: you can comply with what someone says and still not honor them — and that absence of honor closes the door to grace transmission.

"The evidence of humility is in honor."

True Honor Cannot Be Faked

  • People can simulate humility when driven by need — they perform submission to access something — but genuine honor cannot be fabricated.
  • Honor is only by revelation — it arises from something God has shown you about the person you are honoring, not from what you are trying to get from them.
  • When a spirit of genuine honor is present, revelation and secrets are released; when pride or inconsistency is detected, the flow stops.

"People can fake humility because they want something, but people cannot fake honour."

Key Definitions

Grace — A spiritual capacity imparted by God into a person's spiritual and physical DNA that determines how far they can function in their divine calling; it is not a skill and cannot be learned.

The Hand of God — The person God has appointed as His extension to carry out a specific divine assignment; to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God is to humble yourself under that appointed person.

Multiplicity of Grace — The principle that you can contract dimensions of grace beyond what you were born with by positioning yourself in proximity to someone God has invested with greater grace in that dimension.

Honor — The concrete evidence of humility; reverence and submission that arises from revelation and cannot be performed for personal gain.

Humility — Positioning yourself under the person God has designated as His hand in your life; proven not by words but by consistent honor, even when the one being honored is wrong.

Unbelief — A condition that actively restricts the operation of grace, even in the presence of the one who carries it — as seen when Jesus could do no miracles in a city gripped by unbelief.

Key Takeaways

  • Grace is a God-given capacity, not a skill — This means you cannot pray, study, or work your way into a dimension of grace God never placed in you; the only path to it is through the one He gave it to.
  • The mighty hand of God is a person — Humbling yourself under God's hand is not abstract — it requires identifying and submitting to the specific person God has appointed as His extension in your life.
  • Jesus Himself required an appointed human vessel to be released into ministry — If the Son of God needed to submit to John the Baptist to enter His calling, no believer is above the same principle.
  • Unbelief and dishonor are active barriers to grace, not passive ones — They do not merely slow grace down; they can stop it entirely, even when the carrier is present and willing.
  • Honor cannot be faked, because honor is only by revelation — Those who honor genuinely receive secrets and deeper revelation; those who simulate humility for personal gain receive nothing of lasting spiritual substance.

Reflection Questions

  1. Who has God placed in your life as a hand of extension — and are you genuinely honoring that person, or merely complying with them when it is convenient?
  2. In what dimension of grace do you sense a ceiling in your life — and have you identified someone God has invested with greater grace in that area whom you need to position yourself under?
  3. When you reflect on your posture toward those God has appointed over you, are you responding from revelation or from personal need?
  4. What would it look like practically for you to demonstrate honor — not just humility — toward the person God has placed as His hand in your life this week?
  5. Is there any area where unbelief or pride has been limiting the grace available to you — and what specific step of submission does this teaching call you to take?

Scripture References

  • James 4:5-6 — "Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." (KJV)
  • Hebrews 5:8 — "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered." (KJV)
  • 1 Samuel 2:11
