Spiritual Patterns: Understanding Heaven's System and God's Order

Spiritual Patterns: Understanding Heaven's System and God's Order

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 26 February 2023

Accessing God's blessings requires recognizing and aligning with the spiritual patterns He has established, not just personal effort or tradition.

Understanding spiritual patterns is foundational to accessing God's fullness. God operates through established spiritual systems and orderly patterns rather than through human effort, emotion, or earthly tradition alone. Recognition of heavenly patterns determines whether believers experience the full dimension of what God has ordained for them.

Teaching Overview

  1. Ignorance of God's patterns causes believers to miss His blessings and power, even when they are devoted through prayer and fasting.
  2. Good works and earthly traditions can actually cause believers to miss God's operating patterns and the true move of His Spirit.
  3. Not all curses are broken through prayer—understanding what a curse is and its source is essential to proper spiritual response.
  4. Jesus submitted to the heavenly pattern of priesthood by being baptized by John, fulfilling righteousness through conformity to heavenly order, not through personal accomplishment.
  5. Heavenly patterns must be replicated on earth; believers are called to follow the patterns of those who follow Jesus in order to access the same results and operate in true sonship.
  6. Healing and deliverance flow from God's mercy, not from human merit, repentance, or earning—God's goodness precedes and enables genuine repentance.
  7. The core issue with gender distortion and sin is not the behavior itself but the loss of God's image; iniquity (the root inclination to sin) must be removed before behavior can be transformed.

The Foundational Truth of Revealed Things

  • God has revealed His patterns to His children so they can access His goodness, blessing, and power.
  • The secret things belong to God, but the revealed things belong to believers and their children forever.
  • Any person ignorant of God's patterns will miss everything God has ordained, regardless of how much they pray, fast, or labor.

"If anyone is ignorant of the patterns of God, they will miss everything that God has for them, even if they are prayerful. Even if they fast and pray, they will miss God because they fail to recognize the patterns of God."

Good Deeds Cannot Substitute for Heavenly Order

  • The Pharisees were devoted to God but failed to recognize God's patterns and followed human tradition instead.
  • A believer can do morally good things and still miss God entirely because they have not aligned with His operational patterns.
  • Following the traditions of the fathers and the patterns of men, rather than God's revealed order, disqualifies a person from recognizing God's power, true revival, and genuine healing.

"We can miss God, not because what we are doing is wrong. We may be doing good things, but in what we are doing we may miss God because we failed to recognize God's patterns within this whole thing."

Understanding Curses as God's Appointed Repayment

  • A curse is God's system of repayment for breaking His law; God Himself initiated curses at creation.
  • Not all curses can be broken through prayer alone; curses must be understood in their nature and source before they can be properly addressed.
  • Curses and enchantments are distinct: curses are God's appointed consequences, while enchantments are human attempts at witchcraft and sorcery.

"Not all curses are broken by prayer. Not all curses can be broken by prayer."

Rebellion and Witchcraft as One Nature

  • Witchcraft is fundamentally an act of rebellion—rejecting God's order and choosing one's own way instead.
  • Satan's witchcraft did not originate in enchantments or power manipulation; it began when he rebelled against God's authority as a pure angel.
  • All rebellion operates on the principle of witchcraft because it is the assertion of one's will against God's established order.

"All rebellion is which craft because Satan was a pure angel until he rebelled. It did not start in chantments. It was his rebellion to say that I'm not going I'm going to go along with this, I am going to do my own thing. That is what initially witchcraft is. It is born of rebellion."

God's Curse System and Its Justice

  • When God cursed the ground because of Adam's disobedience, He established the repayment for sin: life would become difficult and struggle would characterize human existence.
  • Every generation faces the effects of this curse unless they break alignment with it through obedience and positioning.
  • God is just; curses cannot stand without cause, and God Himself is the one allowing consequences to manifest.

"It's because of what Adam did, that now life is difficult to produce, to eat, it has become difficult. Why? Because of sin, disobedience."

Honor Toward Parents as a Foundational Pattern

  • Honoring father and mother is a conditional law established by God with explicit blessings for obedience and consequences for violation.
  • Breaking this commandment produces early death and lifelong struggle because it is God Himself who recommends these consequences.

"Who's recommending these things? It's God Himself."

Breaking Curses Through Restitution and Obedience

  • When a curse is the result of breaking a relational covenant (such as dishonoring parents), prayer alone does not break it; reconciliation and restitution must occur.
  • When someone has wronged another, the injured party—not prayer—holds the key to removing the curse's effect.
  • Curses established by God operate through His own system of justice and can only be interrupted through proper positioning and obedience.

"We stop it, not because we are actually stopping God, because the one who is allowing it to come to pass is God."

God's Spiritual System Cannot Be Bypassed

  • God has established laws of the Spirit that operate independently of human belief or understanding.
  • When God declares a consequence (such as death for sin), someone must satisfy that law—Jesus became that sacrifice because God cannot simply dismiss His own appointed order.
  • Spiritual ignorance does not exempt a person from the operation of these laws; only understanding and alignment do.

"Because God has to reprimand sin by death, he declared it on the day you do this, you have to die. So somebody had to die. It's the law of the Spirit established by God Himself."

Knowing God's Patterns Reveals His Character

  • When Moses asked to see God's face, God revealed His patterns instead, showing him the systems and order of creation.
  • Understanding God's patterns is the pathway to knowing God's character and ways; patterns are God's self-revelation.
  • Moses wrote Genesis not from personal experience but from seeing eternity past through understanding God's patterns.

"You need to know my patterns in order to know my face."

The Priesthood Pattern and Jesus' Baptism

  • Jesus submitted to John's baptism not because He needed cleansing but to fulfill the heavenly pattern of priesthood.
  • For Jesus to be received as the Son and declared "beloved," He had to be recognized and embraced by an earthly priest, following the order that existed in heaven before it was established on earth.
  • Righteousness means "right standing"—complying with the patterns of heaven, not merely being morally good.

"Without going to a priest who will accept him, he cannot be the beloved son, even though He is the son. The father cannot declare it."

Righteousness as Heavenly Alignment, Not Human Achievement

  • True righteousness is not personal moral goodness; it is alignment with heavenly patterns and reliance on Christ's finished work.
  • Human righteousness, no matter how morally excellent, is like filthy rags because it operates outside the heavenly system God established.
  • Righteousness is received, not earned; it flows from believing in Jesus and submitting to His patterns, not from human effort.

"Righteousness means right standing, meaning complying with the patterns of heaven. That is why we say Jesus is our righteousness. Because if I can be good on my own, then Jesus died for nothing."

Heavenly Patterns as the Blueprint for Earth

  • Jesus commanded the disciples to follow His patterns, not the patterns of earthly traditions or competing systems.
  • The temple of Solomon reflected heavenly order—God specified cherubims because cherubims are the carriers of God's presence in heaven.
  • Believers are commanded to replicate heavenly patterns on earth; God's will is done "on earth as it is in heaven" through conformity to these patterns.

"Trust me, we need to fulfill the patterns of heaven. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are living, we are supposed to chase after the patterns of heaven."

Following Those Who Follow Jesus

  • Believers grow and receive results by following the patterns of those who genuinely follow Jesus, not by following charismatic figures or earthly traditions.
  • The spirit of wisdom and revelation cannot be separated; one cannot have revelation without wisdom, and wisdom operates with revelation.
  • When believers emulate the patterns of true followers of Jesus, they access the same spiritual results and power.

"If you want to follow Jesus, you need somebody that has patterns that show that this person knows the Lord Jesus. The spirit of wisdom goes with revelation and revelation with wisdom. These two cannot be separated."

Teaching Patterns Instead of Rules

  • Jesus taught His disciples His patterns—how to give, how to pray, how to fast—rather than giving them a list of rules.
  • By showing patterns, Jesus enabled His disciples to function from the place of sonship, understanding God's character and moving accordingly.
  • Elisha was powerful because he understood and emulated Elijah's patterns, receiving a double portion through alignment with heavenly order.

"Jesus was expecting them to look at his patterns, and to emulate it so that they can function in the place of sunship."

Healing and Deliverance as Acts of Divine Mercy

  • Healing and deliverance are expressions of God's mercy, not rewards for human merit, repentance, or spiritual effort.
  • God does not heal or deliver because a person is good, righteous, or prayerful; He does so because He Himself is merciful and good.
  • God's goodness precedes repentance and enables genuine repentance; He does not withhold healing until a person qualifies through behavior.

"Healing and deliverance are the ministry of mercy. It is God showing mercy. It is not God doing something because you earned it. Nobody can earn anything from God. He doesn't deliver you or heal you because you are necessarily repenting. He does it so that you can repent genuinely, and so that you can choose if you want to follow him or not."

God's Love Transcends Human Judgment

  • God's love and salvation are not based on human goodness, righteousness, or prayer; they flow from God's sovereign choice to love.
  • No one can place restrictions on whom God chooses to love or help; God operates outside human systems of judgment and worthiness.
  • Understanding this mercy-based operation is essential for anyone called to heal, deliver, or minister in God's name.

"God in heaven is a merciful God and it doesn't heal or deliver us because we are good. He does it because He is good. I have understood the pattern of heaven."

The Distinction Between Sin and Iniquity

  • Sin is the act of breaking God's law; iniquity is the root inclination or bent toward sin that produces sinful behavior.
  • Addressing sin without removing iniquity is incomplete healing; a person may stop the outward act but continue in the inward desire.
  • The blood of Jesus blots out iniquity (removing all traces), while the blood of animals could only cover sin temporarily.

"If I tell you stop doing this, but the iniquity that produced the sin is in you, I haven't helped you because you're still doing it. Even when you're not doing it openly, you're still doing it. But the moment iniquity is removed from you, then you don't even have the thoughts to do it."

Image Distortion as the Root Problem

  • Gender distortion and sin issues stem not from sin itself but from the loss and distortion of God's image in a person.
  • God's concern is that His image—the distinction and complementary design of male and female—has been distorted, not merely that rules have been broken.
  • The solution is restoration of God's image through iniquity removal; behavioral change follows naturally from image restoration.

"It is a distortion of God's image. The moment you distort, male and female. You are not distorting you, you are distorting his image. That is where the problem is. That is the main problem that God has."

Key Definitions

Spiritual Patterns — The established systems and operational order through which God governs creation, dispenses blessings, and enacts justice; the visible expression of God's character and design that believers must recognize and align with to access God's fullness.

Righteousness — Right standing; compliance with heavenly patterns and alignment with God's order, not personal moral achievement; received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned through human effort.

Curse — God's appointed consequence or repayment for breaking His law; an established system of justice that God Himself initiated and maintains, distinct from human witchcraft or enchantment.

Iniquity — The root inclination, bent, or inherited corruption toward sin; the internal nature or disposition that produces sinful behavior; removed only through the blood of Jesus, which blots it out entirely.

Enchantment (Witchcraft) — Human manipulation of spiritual forces through rebellion against God's order; fundamentally an act of asserting one's will against God's authority, originating in the spirit of rebellion rather than in power itself.

Image of God — The essential design and nature of humanity reflecting God's character, specifically including the complementary distinction of male and female; the basis of true identity and the foundation from which all right living flows.

Mercy — God's goodness and loving-kindness extended without regard to human merit, worthiness, or earning; the foundation of all healing, deliverance, and salvation, preceding and enabling genuine repentance.

Key Takeaways

  • Ignorance of heavenly patterns disqualifies believers from God's fullness — No amount of prayer, fasting, or moral effort can compensate for alignment with earthly traditions instead of God's revealed order; missing the patterns means missing everything God has ordained.

  • Good deeds separated from heavenly patterns are incomplete — Moral goodness and religious activity cannot substitute for understanding God's operational systems; believers can do right things for wrong reasons and still miss God's power.

  • Curses operate through God's justice system and require proper positioning to address — Not all curses respond to prayer alone; they must be understood as God's appointed consequences and addressed through obedience, restitution, or alignment with the pattern that produces blessing.

  • Jesus modeled submission to heavenly order through baptism, demonstrating that righteous alignment precedes divine declaration — Righteousness is not achievement but alignment; believers access God's favor by conforming to heavenly patterns, not by personal accomplishment.

  • Believers access spiritual results by emulating the patterns of those who follow Jesus — Following patterns (not rules, not personality, not earthly tradition) is how believers move in the same anointing and power as their spiritual leaders.

  • Healing and deliverance flow from God's mercy, not human merit — Understanding that God's goodness precedes and enables repentance is foundational to operating in true ministry; God heals and delivers because He is good, not because people are good.

  • Iniquity removal must precede behavior change; restoring God's image is the root solution — Addressing sinful acts without removing the iniquity that produces them leaves the believer unchanged inwardly; true transformation happens when God's image is restored in a person.

Reflection Questions

  1. What spiritual patterns are you currently following in your prayer life, family relationships, and daily decisions—and are they aligned with heavenly order or earthly tradition?

  2. In what areas of your life are you relying on personal effort, good deeds, or moral performance instead of submitting to God's established patterns and receiving His mercy?

  3. Who are you sitting under spiritually, and do their patterns reflect alignment with Jesus' patterns, or are you being shaped by competing systems?

  4. Where in your life is iniquity (the root inclination toward sin) still present, even if you've stopped the outward behavior—and are you willing to ask God to remove it rather than just manage it?

  5. What would change in your understanding of healing, blessing, and God's will if you truly accepted that God operates from mercy and goodness, not from rewarding your performance?
