Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 4 December 2019

The anointing on your feet determines the ground you will possess, the elevation you will experience, and the territories God has prepared for you.

God anoints different body parts for different purposes — hands for labor and prosperity, the head for identity and wisdom, and feet for possessing territories and land. To possess what God has promised, you must walk upon higher ground, because your feet determine both the location and the elevation you will experience in life.

Teaching Overview

  1. God anoints specific body parts for specific purposes — hands for labor and prosperity, the head for identity change and wisdom, and the feet for possessing territories.
  2. Wherever you set your feet, you possess it — the anointing to possess the land operates through your feet, not your hands.
  3. There are three levels of believers — those working on the earth, those operating in heavenly places, and those walking on the mountain of God.
  4. You cannot find God entirely by yourself — God sends messengers and teachers through whom He reveals levels of the Spirit that cannot be accessed in isolation.
  5. The highest currency is not money — it is you, because the one who makes money has value is the person, not the currency itself.

The Purpose of the Anointing

  • When a prophet was sent to anoint someone in Scripture, three things happened: the identity of the person was changed, the address of the person was changed, and the location or status of the person was changed.
  • The anointing (chrisma) is not oil from a bottle — it is the rubbing or smearing of someone's spirit, produced from within the spirit of God's anointed.
  • Different expressions of the anointing carry different content — the anointing to heal is different from the anointing to deliver.

"Do not touch my anointed and do no harm to my prophets."

Anointing by Body Part

  • When God wants to prosper your labor, He anoints your hands, because hands represent the source of labor — you may stand all day, but it is your hands that work.
  • When God wants to change your identity and make you wise, He anoints your head — oil flowing to the beard represents age and wisdom, and when the anointing flows to the neck, it is for breaking yokes.
  • The anointing to possess territories operates in the feet — it is not the same as the anointing that prospers labor through the hands.

"When God wants to prosper your labor, the Lord anoints your hands. When God wants to change your identity, He anoints your head. When God wants to make you wise, He anoints your head and the oil goes to your beard."

Holy Ground and the Removal of Shoes

  • When God called Moses from the burning bush in Exodus 3, the first thing He addressed was not the mission — it was the ground Moses was standing on.
  • God told Moses to remove his shoes because the place where he was standing was holy ground — the act of removing shoes was God pointing to the location before delivering any message.
  • The same instruction was given to Joshua by the captain of the Lord's host before the conquest of Jericho — take off your shoes, for the ground you are standing on is holy.

"God said, Moses, Moses — he said, here I am, Lord — He said, draw not nigh. Put off the shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground."

Three Levels of Believers

  • There are three kinds of believers operating in different spiritual places: those working on the earth, those bound in the realm of the Spirit, and those walking on the mountain of God.
  • God does not dwell in the lowlands — He lives on higher ground, specifically Mount Zion, the mountain in heaven, and the Bible says we have come unto Mount Zion in the company of innumerable angels.
  • Elisha was in the valley surrounded by enemies, yet when the young man's eyes were opened, he saw that Elisha was standing on a mountain filled with horses and chariots of fire — meaning the anointing of the prophet placed him on Mount Zion even while physically in the valley.

"The only reason he was going to be protected is because of the chrisma of the prophet. The prophet told him, don't be afraid. They are with us. Not because of you, because of me."

Possessing Land Through Your Feet

  • Joshua 1 declares that wherever you set your feet, you shall possess it — possession operates through the feet, not the hands.
  • You can work somewhere and earn money without owning it — an employer can remove you at any time because you are not controlling the territory; but when your feet are anointed, you go to a location you will control.
  • When Abraham was given the Promised Land, God told him to look and then to walk as far as he could see — possession required walking the territory, not standing still.

"Whatever you shall lay your feet, you shall possess it — not your hands."

The Conquest of Jericho

  • Before Jericho fell, Joshua removed his shoes at the command of the captain of the Lord's host — the solution to taking the city came before any battle instruction.
  • God's strategy was not conventional warfare — He told Joshua and the warriors to march around the city, because the power to possess was activated through walking the territory with feet.
  • Marching around Jericho was not a spectacle — it was the anointing to possess being applied through the act of walking the boundary of what God had already given.

"Not this the solution is much around the city. Don't fight. Don't fight. March around the city."

The Woman Who Anointed Jesus' Feet

  • In Luke 7, the woman who was a sinner came and washed Jesus' feet with her tears, wiped them with her hair, and anointed them with perfume — Jesus contrasted her actions with Simon's failure to give Him water for His feet or anoint His head with oil.
  • Jesus declared that this woman was preparing Him for His burial — she was anointing His feet because of the location He was about to walk into: the underworld.
  • As an inheritor of hell, she anointed the feet of Jesus and gave her hell to Him — by the time Jesus died and descended, He went to hell already anointed and came out with the keys of hell and death.

"This woman has anointed my feet. What is this woman doing? Why is Jesus pointing out this woman has anointed my feet? She didn't anoint the head, but the feet. Wherefore, I say unto thee, her sins which are many are forgiven, for she loved much."

Feet Determine Location and Elevation

  • Judas bought a field with thirty pieces of silver but hanged himself and his feet never touched the ground — he had no anointing to possess the territory, and his feet never stepped into it.
  • Elisha took off Elijah's mantle, stood at the river, and declared "Where is the God of Elijah?" — the water opened because he was now stepping on ground called Elijah.
  • The only way you experience elevation in life is determined by the location you are stepping into — you cannot step into Jesus unless you step into somebody that Jesus sent.

"What ground are you stepping on? Because you cannot step into Jesus unless you step into somebody that Jesus sent — who did Jesus send through you?"

Finding God Through a Messenger

  • The doctrine of finding God entirely by yourself is false — Romans 10:14 asks, "How can they hear without someone preaching to them?" — meaning God's design has always included a human messenger.
  • There are things God will never teach you directly — He will only teach them through a man; and there are levels in the realm of the Spirit that cannot be accessed in isolation.
  • Paul, called the greatest apostle, said "Follow me as I follow Christ" — this is not spiritual pride but the design of God for the transfer of anointing from one level to the next.

"Anybody who tells you, you can find God for yourself is lying to you. There are things God will never teach you — He will only teach you through a man. There are things God will never show you — He will only show you through a man."

Key Definitions

Chrisma (Anointing) — The rubbing or smearing of someone's spirit, not oil; the anointing does not come from a bottle but is produced from within the spirit of God's anointed.

Holy Ground — A location where God is present and where spiritual possession is activated; identified by the instruction to remove shoes, as given to both Moses at the burning bush and Joshua before Jericho.

Possession — The act of controlling a territory by walking upon it with anointed feet; not merely working in a place but owning and governing it so that no one can remove you.

Three Levels of Believers — A distinction between believers working on the earth (natural realm), believers operating in heavenly places (realm of the Spirit), and believers walking on the mountain of God (Mount Zion, where God dwells in higher ground).

Sweat — Symbolic of water that waters the ground; since the body was created from the ground, sweat released in labor waters the earth and must produce a corresponding harvest — when it does not, it is demonic.

Captain of the Lord's Host — The angel, identified as Michael, who appeared to Joshua before Jericho with a drawn sword; his instruction to Joshua was identical to God's instruction to Moses — remove your shoes, for the ground is holy.

Key Takeaways

  • God anoints specific body parts for specific divine purposes — Understanding which anointing you need determines how you position yourself to receive it; the anointing for labor, identity, and territory possession are not interchangeable.
  • Your feet determine the territory you possess — You cannot possess what you have never walked upon; marching around Jericho was not symbolic ceremony but the activation of the anointing to possess.
  • Hardship is demonic — work is God's design — The measure of your work should equal the measure of your wealth; when labor produces no result, it is the spirit of limitation and not God's order.
  • There are three levels of believers, and not everyone is on the mountain of God — Where you are spiritually determines what you see and what can touch you; the anointing of a prophet can place you on higher ground even when you are physically surrounded.
  • You cannot fully find God in isolation — God speaks through His sent messengers — Rejecting the human vessels God has appointed does not increase your spirituality; it limits your access to the levels of the Spirit God has prepared.

Reflection Questions

  1. When you consider the ground you are currently walking on — your neighborhood, your workplace, your associations — are you walking as a possessor or as someone who is merely present?
  2. Have you been experiencing labor without result — working hard but seeing no corresponding harvest? What does this teaching reveal about the spiritual root of that pattern?
  3. Which of the three levels of believers best describes where you are right now — working on the earth, in heavenly places, or walking on the mountain of God? What would it cost you to go higher?
  4. Is there a territory — a property, a business, a city, a realm of influence — that God has shown you but you have never physically walked and declared as yours? What is stopping you from doing it?
  5. Have you been operating under the false doctrine of finding God entirely by yourself, rejecting the messengers and teachers God has placed in your path? What level of the Spirit might you be missing because of that?

Prayers and Declarations

Prophetic Activation and Blessing

"I unlock you in the prophetic today. I release the Sulama anointing upon you today. May angels ascend and descend upon you in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus. May the Lord be glorified through your life. May the world know that Jesus is alive by reason of Him manifesting Himself through you.

There will be a difference from this day. When you stand before people, when you pray, there will be a change. That people will know that the Holy Spirit is upon you. He anointed you to do the work of God. To be a shield for your family, to be a defender of your family. Let it be so now, in Jesus' name."

Prophetic Declaration Over Your Possession

"In the name of Jesus. I release the anointing upon your feet that you shall possess every single thing that has been difficult in your life. The million deals that you could not do. The property you could not buy. The business you could not afford. The things that you could not do — I release the grace to possess every single thing you could not see."

"Today I'm giving you the grace. Today I'm releasing the anointing that you possess every single position. Go possess it. Go — He never told them go and see and wait to possess the land. Go and possess the land. The only way you possess is by walking in it."

Prayer of Possession and Elevation

"Father in the name of Jesus. I thank you for this great opportunity that you have given me this day. You have given me the opportunity to go higher. You sent me on this earth for the expansion of Your kingdom. You sent me on this earth to control a certain territory. My whole life was led by You. Is led by You. Where I am now is because of You. And now I know there is a higher level. There's a higher grace. There's a ground that I need to walk into. I need to walk upon. That my whole life will be changed.

Lord, Your word says that wherever I shall set my feet, I will possess it. I will possess it. Right now, O Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that I will possess every single place. Wherever I shall be, in Your mighty name, I will possess it by reason of the anointing that is upon my feet. That is upon my feet."

Prayer for Supernatural Intelligence and Vision

"Right now, O Father, in the name of Jesus. Father I receive supernatural intelligence. Father I receive supernatural intelligence. Let me see opportunities that others cannot see. Let me see innovations that others cannot see. Let me find a way where others cannot see a way. Let all that was impossible to others, let it be possible for me this day.

I pray now that my eyes shall see through the eyes of faith. That I will have wisdom and understanding of how to possess the land, how to manage the land that You have given unto me."

Prayer of Anointing and Activation

Take the oil and anoint under your feet, the soles of your feet. Do it now as fast as you can.

"Father, in the name of Jesus, I release the anointing upon this person's feet. I release it now. That they shall go and possess — they shall go and step upon ground that will become theirs. Every single thing that was locked from them, every single territory that was beyond their reach, I release the anointing now. Let it be done. Let it be so. In the mighty name of Jesus."
